While Save The Bay’s Hamilton Family Aquarium has many amazing volunteer educators, Dr. Jane Dawson is truly exceptional. Jane is an excellent educator and role model, not only to our visitors of all ages, but also to our other volunteers, interns, and staff.
She works well with her colleagues of all ages and backgrounds and is an absolute favorite among the Aquarium staff, volunteers, and interns. She has served over 1,000 hours at the Hamilton Family Aquarium – while commuting from Stonington, CT!
As a professor emeritus of Government & Environmental Studies at Connecticut College, Jane has multiple master’s degrees and a PhD. Not only is she always willing to share her abundant knowledge, but she also always tries to learn more by asking questions.
She is a cornerstone of our Aquarium education team, and we are incredibly grateful she has chosen to be a part of our mission.
