Georgia is currently an Aquarium Education Intern for Save The Bay and a true example of what it means to be a Bay Student! Georgia is a senior at the MET school in Newport, where she focuses on her love of the natural world. Throughout her time at the MET school, Georgia has taken several courses at CCRI and Salve Regina in natural sciences, helped to form and lead her school’s first science club, and is focusing her Senior Thesis Project on the importance of science communication.
Georgia has been bringing the knowledge that she has learned throughout her internship back to her science club. She is hoping to coordinate a visit to the Aquarium to engage other MET students in connecting with Narragansett Bay and showcasing opportunities in environmental sciences. Georgia has been a wonderful addition to the Aquarium education team and has positively contributed to the connection between our guests and Narragansett Bay.
