The 2023 Bay Teacher of the Year Award Winner
Charles Waddell
Mr. Waddell is a dedicated Mount Hope High School science teacher, as well as an East Bay resident.
For five years, he has participated in our Narragansett Bay Field Studies program, but that’s not all. Over the course of the pandemic, Mr. Waddell was very supportive of and flexible with our shift to virtual programming.
When bus funding was cut, Mr. Waddell was so committed to providing field experiences to his students, he convinced them to walk from their school to our Silver Creek habitat restoration site for their program.
He is always excited to greet us in the field and his energy helps keep our students motivated.
