Alesia is a remarkable and talented volunteer with boundless energy who has been one of our most dedicated leaders on the South Coast since 2017. While some volunteers gravitate to one role or another, Alesia does it all. The regular cleanups she leads at Quonnie and Weekapaug Breachway engage dozens of volunteers, and she is a great mentor to new leaders. She regularly works with South County Coastkeeper Dr. Catie Alves on water quality monitoring in Little Narragansett Bay.
She is a go-to leadership volunteer who directs parking for The Swim in Jamestown, and she rounds out her volunteer resume with storm drain marking, salt marsh restoration and beach grass planting.
Alesia’s dedication to supporting Save The Bay’s mission in the South Coast makes her especially deserving of Save The Bay’s Volunteer of the Year award.
