Patrick, a junior at Cranston High School East, has demonstrated a deep passion for ocean conservation. As he shares in his own words, “For the longest time, marine biology and ocean conservation have been my biggest passion in life.”
This passion began at a young age through his participation in BayCamp with Save The Bay, where he spent several summers developing foundational skills. These formative experiences sparked a connection to the Bay, which he continues to foster to this day.
Patrick is an active and valued member of the Student Advisory Committee, bringing energy, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to his work, helping strengthen connections between students and the broader Bay community.
In addition to his leadership on the committee, Patrick also served as an Aquarium Education Intern in the Summer of 2025. In this role, he demonstrated a natural ability to engage and connect with Aquarium guests of all ages.
Patrick DeRosa exemplifies the qualities of a Bay Student of the Year: involvement, leadership, passion, and a genuine commitment to protecting and improving Narragansett Bay.
