The Save The Bay Swim Fundraiser
The Swim is Save The Bay’s largest, and most iconic, annual fundraiser. Since 1977, athletes and advocates have been inspired to tackle a two-mile, open water swim across Narragansett Bay’s East Passage, raising both funds and awareness for Save The Bay’s mission to protect and improve Narragansett Bay.
As a fundraiser, The Swim directly supports Save The Bay’s educational programs, our advocacy efforts, and our habitat restoration efforts. As a community event, The Swim engages hundreds of swimmers, kayakers and volunteers in a celebration of the recreational benefits of Narragansett Bay.
In recent years, Save The Bay has also hosted “The Swim Open,” a virtual option of completing a swim or many other virtual athletic activities in support of Save The Bay’s mission to protect and improve Narragansett Bay.”
