PROVIDENCE, R.I. – May 21, 2026 – On Thursday, June 18, Save The Bay’s annual Taste of The Bay fundraiser will highlight the flavors, sights and sounds of Narragansett Bay. The event, which follows Save The Bay’s annual meeting at 5:30 p.m., takes place from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the organization’s coastal Bay Center headquarters in Providence. The organization will also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Bay Center. Attendees will enjoy tastings of locally created, grown and harvested food and beverages from restaurants, fishermen, bakeries, breweries and caterers, along with live music and raffle items. Taste of The Bay is a 21+ event.
“As summer begins, Taste of The Bay brings communities together,” said Leanne Danielsen, Events Manager at Save The Bay. “We’re proud to partner with the incredible local businesses, harvesters, and supporters who help sustain the Bay. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or joining us for the first time, this event is a great way to connect with the Bay and the community working to protect it for future generations.”
Music by “Fat Free Bob” Tomassone will provide the evening’s soundtrack, with opportunities to win raffle baskets featuring gift cards and items donated by local restaurants, businesses, and venues. Rain or shine, attendees are sure to have a great night on the Bay.
“Narragansett Brewing is a local company that has its roots on the Bay, a brewery that looks out to the Bay, and shares its name with the Bay,” said Jim Crooks, VP of Sales for Narragansett Brewing. “Therefore, we feel strongly about protecting and improving the Bay for future generations and have happily supported this event for the past 16 years.”
We appreciate the initiative Save The Bay takes to protect and enhance Rhode Island’s most critical ecosystems,” added Perry Raso, owner of Matunuck Oyster Bar.
